Solution Architect AI Automation

Role Overview:

We're hiring a Solution Architect for the AI Automation portfolio within Technology Development This role designs scalable reusable architecture for AI intelligent automation and agentic solutions The role works closely with business and operations stakeholders and technology vendors and delivers within MMCs technology standards using a lighttouch governance model alongside the Pod Leadership team

Primary Responsibilities Core to This Role:

Own architectural vision integration strategy and nonfunctional objectives for AI and automation initiatives

Translate business and operations needs into scalable secure standardsaligned solution designs

Evaluate select and govern AI and automation vendor platforms against MMC technology standards

Define highlevel solution structure integration patterns and deployment topology

Guide Engineering Leads and delivery teams through agile delivery using a lighttouch oversight model

Drive Architecture Review Board ARB discussions documentation and resolution of review comments

Define and validate nonfunctional targets performance scalability availability security and disaster recovery

Lead cost and total cost of ownership TCO assessments for architectural changes and new technology adoption

Secondary Responsibilities Supporting As Needed:

Handson development for proofofconcepts accelerators or architecture validation

Support automated testing strategy and architecturealigned quality standards

Provide architectural input during major production incidents or systemic risk assessments

Contribute to project scheduling milestone planning and resource allocation discussions

Support client relationship management and business strategy conversations alongside TPM and Product Owner

Contribute to change management discussions on architecture evolution and technology direction

MustHave Skills and Technologies:

Architecture and Design

Microservices eventdriven APIled and domaindriven architecture styles

Recognized documentation standards C4 UML ArchiMate

Securebydesign and privacybydesign principles

AI and Automation Core Domain

Handson experience designing Gen AIRAGAgentic AI LLMbased Models or agentic

solution architectures

Intelligent automation RPA integrated with AI eg document AI decisioning workflow

orchestration

Understanding of MLOps concepts model lifecycle monitoring evaluations data pipelines

etc

Vendor evaluation experience for AI and automation platforms against enterprise standards

Daily AI Tool Usage MustHave Working Style

Practical daily use of GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot Microsoft Copilot Claude or LenAI

for architecture exploration design documentation and technical writing

Comfortable using AI coding assistants for code and configuration review proofofconcept

scaffolding and accelerating solution design

Applies prompt and context engineering fundamentals to get reliable highquality output

from AI tools

Treats AIassisted working as a standard part of the workflow not an occasional experiment

Cloud and Platform

Cloudfirst architecture design primarily AWS

Containerization and Kubernetes

Costaware infrastructure design and TCO analysis

Security and Identity

MultiFactor Authentication MFA

Single SignOn OAuth SAML

Secure DevOps practices

Development Stack

MEAN stack NET Core Python or similar middleware technologies

Application Performance Monitoring APM and observability techniques

Agile delivery methodology

GoodtoHave Skills and Technologies:

Handson experience with specific AIautomation vendor platforms eg UiPath

Automation Anywhere Azure AI Foundry AWS Bedrock Google Vertex AI

Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks eg TOGAF

Exposure to enterprise API catalogs and API management platforms

Prior experience in insurance broking or financial services domain

Relevant certifications cloud architect TOGAF or AIML specialization
