- We are seeking a Contracting Support Manager for an Assignment in Hanscom AFB. The ideal candidate is local to Bedford, MA or nearby areas, has a strong background in DoD contracting, including at least 5 years of relevant experience and 2 years within a DoD environment. They are detail-oriented, professional, and possess an Active DoD-Issued Secret Clearance.
- As a Contracting Support Manager, you will provide expert-level guidance and administrative assistance for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with DoD civilians, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, while supporting the full lifecycle of contracting activities.
- Assist with price/cost evaluation activities (excluding participation in negotiations).
- Oversee and execute contract close-out procedures.
- Gather, analyze, and report on data related to contracting and program activities.
- Provide clerical, administrative, and office support for contract operations.
- Conduct training sessions related to contract processes and activities.
- At least 5 years of experience in contracting support, including 2 years in a DoD environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of DoD contracting principles, policies, and program management.
- Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
- Active Secret clearance or eligibility for a Top-Secret clearance.
- Previous experience working on a military base, particularly Hanscom AFB.
- Familiarity with contract management systems and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of acquisition regulations and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively train and collaborate with DoD personnel.
