Title: QIC Part A Nurse Consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months
Shift time: Hours; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm EST (Monday - Friday)
Pay rate: 30.00/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reviewing Medicare Part A West unfavorable and partially unfavorable determinations in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Render medical necessity determinations for assigned cases.
- Resolve all other technical issues for assigned cases.
- Review cases to determine and summarize the facts of each case assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience consulting within designated function.
- REGISTERED NURSE
- Hospice experience a plus
- Experience reading and interpreting medical records, especially for hospitals and nursing homes
- Strong writing skills
