The Opportunity

The Sales Consultant will support the growth of the Non-Profit Advisory business by bringing strong client engagement, coordination, data rigour and follow-through to the sales function. The role will work closely with senior leaders and delivery teams to manage the sales pipeline, engage with prospective nonprofit clients, strengthen account follow-up, and ensure that sales systems and processes run effectively. The ideal candidate will combine strong communication and relationship-building skills with attention to detail, comfort with data, and a good understanding of the nonprofit and social impact ecosystem.

Key responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Support the execution of the annual sales strategy and plans, in alignment with business priorities.

  • Track market trends, client needs and emerging opportunities to inform sales priorities.

  • Lead first-level conversations with select inbound leads to understand the organisation, its context and the broad nature of support required.

  • Communicate Sattva’s offerings clearly and connect prospective clients to the relevant internal leader or delivery team.

  • Support pipeline expansion and conversion through structured follow-ups, coordination and client engagement.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and internal teams on thought leadership, events and outreach that can contribute to business development.

Account Management & Growth

  • Support account management for existing Non-Profit Advisory clients, with a focus on maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities for continued engagement.

  • Maintain account plans and intelligence on priority clients, including key stakeholders, funding priorities, previous engagements and potential opportunities.

  • Support structured account reviews to identify risks, gaps and opportunities for renewal, cross-sell or deeper engagement.

  • Coordinate regular follow-ups with existing and prospective clients to maintain momentum and strengthen relationships.

Sales Operations & Systems

  • Lead the day-to-day management of sales systems and processes, including Salesforce, lead tracking, pipeline reporting and account intelligence.

  • Ensure sales data is accurate, complete and updated regularly, with clear visibility on ownership, next steps and expected closures.

  • Anchor the preparation and follow-through for weekly and monthly sales reviews.

  • Develop and maintain sales dashboards, trackers and reports to support leadership decision-making.

  • Track actions, dependencies and delays across opportunities and proactively coordinate to move them forward.

  • Support continuous improvement and standardisation of sales processes, workflows and SOPs.

Proposal & Sales Process Management

  • Coordinate the proposal development process, including timelines, internal inputs, reviews and submissions.

  • Use existing proposal templates, credentials, case studies and organisational information to support proposal development.

  • Coordinate with delivery and subject matter teams to bring together relevant inputs and ensure timely closure.

  • Maintain organised repositories of proposals, credentials, client information and other sales materials.

  • Ensure consistency and quality across proposal and sales-related workflows.

Leadership & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with senior leaders involved in sales and client conversations, ensuring they have the right context and information ahead of meetings.

  • Track commitments and follow-ups arising from leadership and client discussions.

  • Coordinate effectively across Sales, Delivery, Marketing and other internal teams.

  • Manage multiple parallel conversations, stakeholders and deadlines with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Skills Required: 

  • Experience:4 to 6 years of relevant experience in sales, sales operations, fundraising, partnerships, business development, account management or another client-facing role. Experience in the nonprofit, philanthropy, social impact or consulting ecosystem is strongly preferred.

  • Nonprofit Sector Understanding:Strong familiarity with how nonprofits operate, including their funding environment, programmatic priorities, partnerships and organisational needs. The ability to communicate credibly and comfortably with nonprofit leaders is important for this role.

  • Fundraising / Donor Engagement:Prior experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement or partnerships would be particularly valuable, given the relationship management, pipeline management and client communication required.

  • Client Engagement:Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to conduct initial client conversations, ask the right questions and understand broad requirements.

  • Operational Skills: Strong grasp of sales processes, CRM systems, pipeline management, tracking and reporting. Experience with Salesforce would be an advantage.

  • Coordination:Ability to work across diverse advisory and delivery teams, manage multiple stakeholders and maintain momentum across opportunities.

  • Analytical Skills:Comfort working with data and using sales information to identify trends, gaps and priorities.

  • Judgement:Strong common sense and the ability to determine what can be handled independently, what needs follow-up, and when subject matter or leadership input is required.
