Consultant I

Pay Rate: $80.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders at every level of the organization to solicit strategic imperatives from senior leaders and executives.
• Support business unit managers in leveraging business architecture and product development artifacts to create and implement company business plans.
• Provide direct input into the governance cycle to support the achievement of key goals, planning, and execution of various scenarios.
• Help company business and leadership teams with problem definition.
• Collaborate and contribute to business and technology consulting projects to deliver company objectives.
• Perform assessments of company business processes, organizational change, IT processes, and technology landscape; identifying transformational recommendations.
• Develop a business and technical architecture strategy based on situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
• Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
• Capture tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
• Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution, and business management functions.
• Define the set of strategic, core, and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries.
• Identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources, and controls are involved in the processes.
• Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between the data.
• Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities, and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in consulting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of domain/industry to contextualize solutions and assess domain-specific risks.
• Proficiency in using COTS product features and functionality.
• Experience with different implementations such as upgrades, new implementations, conversions/migrations, enhancements, maintenance, and interfaces testing.
• Specialized knowledge of technology concepts, applications, databases, and data models.
• Experience with project management tools and techniques, including project scoping, requirements management, change management, and risk management.
• Working knowledge of project governance frameworks and RACI matrices.
• Familiarity with estimation and resource planning techniques.
• Ability to gather and analyze requirements, create requirement management artifacts, and apply common requirements repository in the context of projects/programs.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in process consulting and harmonization concepts.
• Knowledge of industry knowledge management tools and techniques.
• Experience with technical standards, documentation, and templates.
• Understanding of pricing and licensing models.
