Wastewater Construction Superintendent

Location: Greater Atlanta Area, Georgia Employment Type: Full time Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000

Opportunity

A growing infrastructure contractor is seeking a field-focused Construction Superintendent to support wastewater treatment and municipal utility projects throughout the Atlanta region.

This opportunity is best suited for someone with direct experience working on wastewater treatment facilities, plant upgrades, pump stations, process piping, equipment installation, or similar water infrastructure projects.

Candidates with at least two years of Superintendent experience will be considered. Experienced Assistant Superintendents with substantial wastewater construction exposure may also qualify.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily field operations on wastewater construction projects.

Coordinate subcontractors, trades, equipment, materials, and site activities.

Maintain project schedules and communicate field progress to project leadership.

Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and construction changes.

Oversee work involving process piping, concrete structures, pumps, tanks, mechanical systems, and treatment equipment.

Ensure construction meets quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Lead site meetings and resolve field coordination issues.

Coordinate inspections, startup, testing, commissioning, and closeout activities.

Support construction within active treatment facilities when required.

Required Qualifications

Two or more years of experience as a Construction Superintendent is mandatory

Direct wastewater treatment construction experience is mandatory

Experience managing field crews and subcontractors.

Ability to interpret construction plans and technical specifications.

Strong scheduling, coordination, documentation, and communication skills.

Knowledge of construction safety and quality control procedures.

Ability to work on projects throughout the Greater Atlanta area. Highly Relevant Project Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience involving:

Wastewater treatment plants

Treatment facility expansions or renovations Pump stations and lift stations

Process and mechanical piping Equipment installation

Concrete tanks and structures

Municipal water and sewer systems

Active plant construction Startup and commissioning
