Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experiencedLead Consultant – Confluent Kafka with strong expertise in Kafka platform management, client engagement, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Kafka ecosystems, driving platform reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable streaming solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supportConfluent Platform (CP) and Confluent Cloud environments
• Collaborate with Kafka vendors (e.g., Confluent) and cloud providers to resolve platform issues
• Monitor and fine-tune alerts for critical events such as broker failures and data loss
• Troubleshoot Kafka-related issues including:
  • Connectivity issues
  • Consumer group lag
  • Data serialization (Avro schema mismatches)
• Utilize observability tools likeDataDog, Prometheus, Conduktor for monitoring and performance tracking
• Administer Kafka components such as:
  • Replicator, Connectors, Zookeeper, KSQL
• Manage Kafka configurations including:
  • Users, ACLs, Topics, Connectors, Tiered storage
• Perform platform maintenance activities:
  • Upgrades (Kafka, Conduktor, Spring Boot)
  • Patching and certificate renewals
• Implement automation usingDevSecOps practices (CI/CD, Terraform)
• Support debugging of Kafka client applications (Java, .NET, Python, Spring Boot)
• Maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) runbooks and execute DR drills
• Handle vulnerability remediation aligned with security standards
• Collaborate with product teams for releases, enhancements, and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and minor enhancements
• ManageAutosys:
  • Agent installation and maintenance
  • Services upgrades, patching, and monitoring

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience withConfluent Kafka (Must Have)
• Proven experience inclient-facing roles
• Demonstratedteam handling / leadership experience
• Expertise in Kafka ecosystem and distributed streaming architecture
• Experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Conduktor)
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience
• Extensive experience in Kafka administration and support

Nice to Have

• Experience withTerraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure toDevSecOps practices
• Knowledge of multi-language Kafka clients (Java, Python, .NET)
