As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our equipment is well-maintained and ready to perform in challenging environments. Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems Â
- Inspect and test to detect faults and malfunctions in drill units, diesel compressors, hydraulic support equipment, high pressure water pumpsÂ
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair requiredÂ
- Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics Â
- Contributing to the development of apprentices and working as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals and targets.Â
- Service attachments and working toolsÂ
- Verify and repair emission control systemsÂ
Professional Experience / QualificationsÂ
- 5 + years of experience with industrial heavy equipment including hydraulic equipment, diesel engines and compressors, high-pressure water pumps, drill units, diesel trucks, crawlers, and pumpsÂ
- Ability to diligently organize work, make decisions, and set prioritiesÂ
- Valid driver's licenseÂ
- Previous experience working on drilling equipment is an asset. Â
- Strong interpersonal skillsÂ
Schedule:Monday to Friday with possibility for overtime.Â

EducationÂ
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Â
- Must be a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic (Journeyman).
- Interprovincial trade qualifications in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics (Red Seal Certification) preferred.Â
CompensationÂ
$42 to $49/hr based on experienceÂ
