Concrete Saw Cutter

Job Summary:

As a Concrete Cutter, your job duties include guiding saws or drills during cutting operations to ensure the concrete fits the space intended and matches the specifications of the project. Your responsibilities and tools can vary depending on the project and size.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performs various concrete cutting, core drilling wall sawing and demolition tasks for multiple customers in each day, week, or month.

• Accurate use and maintenance of company equipment to include, but not limited to vehicles, diamond blades, flat saw, core drill, wall saw, and jackhammer & small tools.

• Inspects, does general maintenance, security, and cleanliness of all company equipment.

• Operates company vehicles on public roadways.

• Maintains proper paperwork to include administrative requirements.

• Inspects rim, and blade guards, all electrical tools such as grinders, skill saw, saw etc.

• Uses chalk to create cut lines.

• Completes post cut inspections.

• Helps clean and maintain saws, equipment, vehicles, and work environments.

• Performs all work in accordance with industry standard safety policies and procedures.

• Responsible for the proper use of safety equipment.

• Follow company emergency protocols for accidents, equipment failures, or hazardous situations.

• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Saw Cutter or similar role, with demonstrated proficiency in operating sawing equipment and producing accurate cuts.

• Must be able to workdays/nights/weekends or out of town, when needed.

• Must have solid experience with concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal.

• Must be motivated and self-disciplined.

• Must work independently and in a team setting.

• Can perform job tasks safely in accordance with company policy.

• Must be able to safely operate and walk behind heavy duty saw cutters.

• Pays great attention and commitment to safety culture and company values.

• Must be comfortable working at heights while using proper fall restraint or fall protection.

• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening, and comply with random drug/alcohol testing per company policy.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred (if operating company vehicles).

• Must maintain confidentiality of project specifications and company information.

• Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform manual labor as needed.

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; reach with hands and arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Pay:$28-$32/hour
