Hands-on manager / AI lead for engineering and architecture, building high stake MVP for wildfire prevention along Utilities transmission lines in BC

**Must Have Skills**
6 years professional work experience as a data scientist or on advanced analytics / statistics projects with 5 years’ experience in one of the following sector: Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas
Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or other closely related field using R and Python
Computer Vision / Image recognition, Predictive risk scoring, Asset Intelligence, Asset Inspection, Preventive Maintenance, Condition-based Maintenance, Vegetation Management...
Microsoft ecosystem (Azure Computer Vision, Azure ML, Foundry, Fabric)
**Nice to Have skills**
• Wildfire prevention solution:
•Experience with Deep Learning methods in NLP & Computer Vision, Sentiment analysis, topic modeling and graph theory and databases
•Experience with common data science tools such as Python, R, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Keras, NLTK, Spacy, or Neo4j, and a good understanding of modelling platforms (Azure AutoML, SageMaker, DataBricks, DataRobot and .O.ai)
•Thorough understanding of statistical model building techniques such as: A/B testing, regression methods, variable selection methods, tree-based classification models (Decision Trees, Random Forests, Gradient Boosting), non-parametric models (SVM), time series models, unsupervised learning and mathematical optimization
