Computer Field Technician

Independent contract work in Binghamton, NY with flexibility, weekly pay, and free manufacturer certifications. 

We're looking for experienced hardware technicians to join our field service network completing warranty repairs for Dell and Lenovo — two of the industry's leading manufacturers. If you're comfortable working independently and know your way around laptop and desktop hardware, this role offers steady contract work with a straightforward pay structure.

• Paid per ticket — starting at $35 per ticket, with typical volume of 2–5 calls per day
• Weekly pay — every Friday, beginning after your first week of completed tickets
• Certification Training — Dell and Lenovo certifications are included as part of onboarding, at no cost to you
• Independence — manage your own route, schedule customer windows, and run your day as a self-directed contractor
• Parts handled for you — manufacturers ship parts directly to FedEx for morning pickup, and return shipping labels/materials are provided for sending removed parts back

What You'll Be Doing

• Traveling to customer locations to complete Dell and Lenovo warranty hardware repairs on laptops and desktops
• Picking up parts at FedEx each morning as needed
• Logging into your tech portal by 9 AM each workday to accept tickets, update job status, and map your route
• Contacting customers directly to confirm a service window
• Returning removed parts using the provided shipping materials

What You'll Need

• Prior hands-on experience with laptop and desktop hardware
• Reliable transportation to travel to service calls
• A computer and internet access to manage daily portal tasks
• Availability Monday through Friday
• Strong self-management and communication skills, as you'll be coordinating directly with customers and running your own schedule
