Ensures complete regulatory compliance for temporary employees assigned to operate City commercial vehicles and high-safety positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) per FMCSA and Arizona DOT standards.
- Oversee pre-employment, random, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing programs (§ C.1.G.5.a.i).
- Verify CDL and medical card validity, training, and license renewals.
- Interface with City Risk Management and Human Resources Departments (§ C.1.G.5.a.ii).
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain five-year driver records.
- Investigate vehicle accidents and coordinate incident response documentation (§ C.1.G.5.d).
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Transportation Management, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of CDL or DOT compliance program management.
- Working knowledge of FMCSA Part 40, 382, and 391 regulations.
- Certified in Substance Abuse Program Administration preferred.
