Summary/Objective:The Compliance Specialist assists the Compliance Officer in developing, implementing, and administering all aspects or accounts and activities under different departments of the bank relating to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Operations, and Lending compliance.

- Verifies all system input for Customer Information File (CIF) changes, demand deposit accounts (DDA), savings accounts, debit card, deposit operations reversals and test/dormant accounts maintenance, bounce protection maintenance, Jack Henry & Associates (JHA) parameter maintenance.
- Confirms input on all electronic forms processed, safe deposit box maintenance, CIF forms, address change forms, etc.
- Maintains a current knowledge of BSA and all related anti-money laundering and OFAC regulations; monitors legislative and regulatory developments regarding BSA and reports important compliance developments to the Compliance Officer. ย
- Assists the Compliance Officer in conducting periodic assessment of the bank's departments for compliance with procedures.
- Periodically performs OFAC/FenCEN scrub.
- Reviews Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for accuracy and submission.
- Periodically prepares, approves and/or submits SARs electronically.
- Assists with program development and training of all employees annually and as needed on the BSA/AML compliance program.
- Assists Compliance Officer regarding issues and inquiries and helps maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
- Reviews documentation and implementation of new products/services and works closely with Compliance Officer for successful implementation.
- Participates in the collection of data for regulatory exams, internal/external reviews/audits and participates in the implementation of any corrective measures or procedures. ย
- Supports the planning, direction, or coordination of the activities of the bank to ensure compliance with ethical or regulatory standards.
- Attends training as required by Exchange Bank and supports the overall compliance program by complying with all laws, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Satisfactory completion of an in-house training program (if available) or other approved training program.
- Proficient with all Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
- Jack Henry experience.
- Good communication and excellent sales abilities.
- Good knowledge of all retail financial institution products and services.
- Flexibility in working situations; an individual in this position often works in other branch roles as needed.
