About Legacy Professionals LLP
Legacy Professionals LLP is a professional services firm serving employee benefit plans, labor organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental entities. Our specialized Payroll Compliance Audit Department performs audits for employee benefit funds throughout the country.
Build a Career in Payroll Compliance Auditing
At Legacy Professionals LLP, payroll compliance auditing is more than reviewing numbers. Our auditors investigate whether employers are meeting their obligations under collective bargaining agreements by analyzing tax records, payroll records, disbursement records, financial records, wage rates, and benefit contributions. Our audits help employee benefit funds determine whether employers have properly reported work and made the required contributions.
This work requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to interpret complex requirements and communicate findings clearly. You will learn how to analyze payroll and financial records, interpret labor agreements, identify discrepancies, and prepare audit reports documenting your findings.
You will initially work alongside experienced auditors and receive hands-on training to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct audits independently. As your experience and expertise grow, you will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and advance along a defined career path from Payroll Compliance Auditor to Senior Auditor and, ultimately, Audit Manager.
If you enjoy analyzing information, solving problems, investigating discrepancies, and taking ownership of your work, this position offers an opportunity to build a specialized professional career. You will develop valuable analytical, investigative, and communication skills while learning a specialized area of compliance auditing. Unlike a traditional public accounting career path, this role does not require a CPA license.
