COMOS Administrator — Digital Plant Engineering | Remote | German-speaking

Location: Remote, based in Austria (Vienna or within 50 km) or Germany (Bavaria or North Rhine-Westphalia)

We are looking for aGerman-speaking COMOS Administrator to support the administration, maintenance and development of COMOS for industrial plant engineering and technical documentation.

The opportunity is open toengineers with practical COMOS experience and a background in engineering systems, technical data management or plant documentation. 

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the COMOS environment to support engineering and documentation teams.

• Manage user accounts, access rights and project settings.

• Configure and maintain object structures, templates, attributes and documentation standards.

• Support the import, migration and validation of technical plant data.

• Monitor data quality and consistency across projects and databases.

• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate their resolution with IT teams and software support.

• Support users with technical queries and provide guidance on COMOS workflows.

• Maintain system documentation and support agreed updates and improvements.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications or practical experience in engineering, automation, electrical engineering, IT or a related discipline.

• Practical experience administering or configuring COMOS.

• Understanding of technical plant documentation and structured engineering data.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

• Good written and spoken German.

• Ability to work independently and support users remotely.

• Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refinery, oil and gas, or comparable process-industry environments is an advantage.

• Familiarity with database management, scripting or interfaces between engineering systems is beneficial.

Working environment

This is aremote position supporting COMOS users and engineering activities for industrial process plants. Candidates must be able to travel to  Vienna or within 50 km of Vienna, Austria or inBavaria or North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
