Job Summary / PurposeÂ
​​Operates telecommunication terminal and provides information as requested.​Â

Essential Key Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
• Answers calls quickly and efficiently and routes to appropriate area. Â
• Pages over public address system: codes, hospital personnel, physicians and announcements. Â
• Directs patients and visitors to proper areas. Â
• Provides proper patient information, while retaining confidentiality. Â
• Implements emergency procedures for hospital. Â
• Helps out in Mail Services when staffing is short. Â
• Nights –Verify patient discharge for Mail Services. Â
Assigned Communication Rep is trained for complete Mail Services back-up.Â

Minimum QualificationsÂ
Required Education and Experience Â
High school diploma or GED required.Â
Required Licensure and CertificationsÂ

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and TrainingÂ
​​​• Previous experience with the public via phone or in person. Â
​• Must have basic math skills including calculating and monetary exchanges.​​Â
