Your Mission & Challenges

• Program Safety Logic: Develop, test, and troubleshoot safety-related control logic using PLC programming per IEC 61131-3 (Structured Text, Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram) on established automation platforms.

• Integrate Safety Networks: Implement and commission safe fieldbus communication (e.g. FSoE over EtherCAT), together with I/O systems, sensors, actuators, and servo drives.

• Apply Robotics Concepts: Apply kinematics, dynamics, and control theory in safety function computation (e.g. safe Cartesian speed/position monitoring, force/torque estimation, stopping distance).

• Commission & Validate: Commission, debug, and validate machine safety functions in line with ISO 13849, ISO 10218-1/-2:2025, and IEC 61508, ensuring safety-critical software is properly verified.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with hardware, software, and system teams on safety concepts and requirements, contributing analysis, troubleshooting, reviews, and clear safety documentation.
  

What We Can Look Forward To (Core Competencies)

• Degree in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience developing and testing safety-related logic per IEC 61131-3 (ST, LD, FBD) on at least one automation platform.

• C/C++ programming for safety-related or embedded software.

• Working knowledge of functional and robot safety standards (ISO 13849, ISO 10218-1/-2:2025, IEC 61508) and experience validating safety functions.

• Understanding of safe fieldbus communication (e.g. FSoE/EtherCAT) and servo drive integration.

• Solid knowledge of robotics concepts: kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with good communication and documentation.
  

Nice-to-have

• Experience with PROFINET/PROFIsafe and CIP Safety.

• Python for scripting and test automation, and Git.

• Hands-on experience with industrial or collaborative robots.
