Your New Role!  

We are seeking two Associate Lecturers or Lecturers in Nursing to join our team. These positions are primarily based at our South Street campus in Murdoch; however, the successful applicants will also be required to teach at our Mandurah campus, with time allocated across both locations in line with teaching and operational requirements.

As anAssociate Lecturer, you will contribute to teaching, research and service within the School of Nursing while developing your academic profile under the guidance of senior academics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Nursing programs and campuses as required.

  • Contribute to nursing research and scholarly outputs.

  • Engage with the School, College, University and nursing profession.

  • Work collaboratively across diverse healthcare and educational settings.

As aLecturer, you will undertake independent teaching, research and scholarly activity, making a significant contribution through your professional expertise and academic leadership.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate Nursing programs.

  • Conduct and lead nursing research, producing high-quality scholarly outputs.

  • Engage with the School, College, University and nursing profession.

  • Contribute to the coordination and leadership of academic activities.

  • Work collaboratively across diverse healthcare and educational settings.

This Continuous | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of:

  • Associate Lecturer $81,513 – $109,925 (pro rata)

  • Lecturer $115,512 – $136,831 (pro rata)

  • Plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Associate Lecturer

  • A degree in Nursing and a relevant postgraduate qualification at AQF Level 8 or above (or equivalent professional experience recognised by the University). Progress towards a higher degree, such as a PhD, is desirable.

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

  • Ability to deliver evidence-based teaching using contemporary nursing education practices. Experience in nursing education with positive student outcomes.

  • Experience contributing to curriculum development and quality teaching initiatives.

Lecturer

  • A PhD in Nursing or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

  • Experience delivering high-quality teaching and applying contemporary nursing education practices.

  • Experience in nursing education with positive student outcomes.

  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development, teaching excellence and educational innovation.
