Job Description Summary:
Develop pre-construction and construction job schedules to maintain timely and profitable job completion.Job Description:
- Able to perform all essential Assistant Scheduler responsibilitiesÂ
- Assist with developing scheduling department proceduresÂ
- Update and monitor the quality of project team schedule updatesÂ
- Lead the development of bid / proposal/ project schedules and subcontractor schedules with project teams, self-perform, and trade partnersÂ
- Develop schedule detail, perform preconstruction and construction schedule updatesÂ
- Prepare and analyze “as built” schedulesÂ
- Prepare and oversee month end schedule reports and narrativesÂ
- Flag scheduling risks and communicate risks with TeamsÂ
- Perform delay and labor productivity analysis to calculate costs, write entitlement narratives, etc., for change orders and claimsÂ
- Assist in mediation preparation and trade contractor negotiationsÂ
- Assist project teams with measures recommendation regarding preserving rights for changes and claimsÂ
- Perform and oversee with P6 database management, activity coding, cost, and resource loading in P6 schedulesÂ
- Perform P6 and hands-on schedule trainingsÂ
- Prepare and communicate weekly KPI dashboards and reports for Project and Self-Perform TeamsÂ
- Support quality control of data tracking / data accuracy of self-preform productivityÂ
- Cross checking activity durations with labor productivity rates to verify production goalsÂ
- Assist with reporting scheduling metrics, status, and project health to Project & Division managementÂ
- Uses knowledge of financial management systems, contract and notice requirements to support teams with schedulingÂ
- Complete other responsibilities as assignedÂ
MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalentÂ
- 7 years of construction experience including 5 years scheduling experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceÂ
- Demonstrated experience with construction-related scheduling Critical Path MethodÂ
- Working knowledge of construction methods and processesÂ
- Knowledge of financial management systems and construction cost accountingÂ
- Knowledge of contract requirements and notice requirementsÂ
- Estimating and scheduling skillsÂ
- Understands job cost informationÂ
- Able to read and understand plans and specificationsÂ
- Proficiency with P6 Professional, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite Â
- Experience in scheduling and productivity claims, a plusÂ
- Working knowledge of virtual construction technology systemsÂ
- Ability to travel locally within divisionsÂ
