Senior Java Developer

We are seeking aSenior Java Developer to join our team and take ownership of the development and maintenance of key business-critical components. In this role, you will contribute to backend engineering efforts, drive code quality, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Kraków or Wrocław, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain impacted components (Buylist, IPCM, ADDP, IAPS, Trade Consolidator)
• Estimate development effort for incoming requirements
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards
• Organize and facilitate Scrum meetings
• Support testing activities and defect resolution

Requirements

• 3+ years of expert-level proficiency in Java 7/8
• Expertise in Spring Framework, JSP, and Maven
• Familiarity with SVN for version control
• Proven capability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Background in code reviews and effort estimation
• Strong skills in backend development
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, Oracle DB, and SQL
• Understanding of Jakarta EE and legacy system modernization
• Familiarity with Gen AI-assisted development and Prompt Engineering
• Skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end support
• Background in the financial services domain
