Description:Â
TheProcess Engineeringtakes responsibilityfordaily process maintenance,new productsdevelopment,new process introduction andsystemintegration of equipment to supportmass productionand improve process capability for photovoltaic module assembly facility inTexas. Â
TheProcessEngineering performs a range of duties related to manufacturing process, product development, product quality,document work andoperator training. Â
The ideal candidatewillproactively identify where products, processes, and equipment could be better optimized for manufacture. TheProcessEngineeringmust possess the capabilities to drive continuous improvement of product quality,process, and manufacturing cost.Â
Responsibilities:Â
Work with product design teams to formulate a manufacturing process for the new product and support product rampup.Â
Oversee process design, production line layout,system integrationand make sure the manufacturing process, capacity, capability meets businessdemand. Â
Improve manufacturing process, equipment efficiency to boost productivity, product quality and manufacturing cost. Â
Assume responsibility for new manufacturing process, equipment and methodology evaluation and adopting new manufacturingtechnology.Â
Maintain and develop manufacturing work instructions, providetrainingto cross functionteam.Â
Create Engineering Change Notices (ECN) as related to manufacturing process,quality, and product costimprovements. Â
ParticipateinPFMEA / Control Plancreation. Â
Support material supplier qualification, material inspection and testing whenneeded.Â
Establish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivitymeasurement.Â
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct.Â
Support ISO 9001 activitiesÂ
Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules andpolicies.Â
Conduct other duties asrequired.Â

Qualifications and Experience:Â
Engineering degree a relevant field, e.g. B. Eng. (Mechanical,Electricalor equivalent)Â
Minimum1~3 years experience as aManufacturing or ProcessEngineer in ahigh-volume manufacturing environment, (with photovoltaic industry preferred)Â
Knowledge and expertise with PLC, machine automation and controls, robotic assembly and machine operationspreferred.Â
Demonstrated success on manufacturing process improvement, capacity and standard time, product quality, machine OEE and efficiencyimprovement.Â
Superior knowledge on manufacturing production line layout, machine operations, line balance, product quality and production output.Â
Familiar with Standard Work, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement tools.Â
Quality Controlbackground; Data analysis, problem solving and root cause analysis skillspreferred.Â
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworkspreferred.Â
Ability to read blueprints (mechanical/electrical and part print).Â
Â
Strong presentation abilitieswith written communication and presentation abilitiesÂ
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well asindependently.Â
Must be self directed and able to work with littlesupervision.Â
