About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilledCNC Programmer / Operator to support programming, setup verification, and machining operations in a growing manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for a self-sufficient individual who thrives on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and helping build a more efficient, lights-out machining operation.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience programming and operating CNC mills and lathes, performing first-piece inspections, troubleshooting machining issues, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Horizontal and Vertical Mills usingAutodesk Fusion CAM
- Utilize advancedNC Cloud AI CAM Assist technology
- Program and support CNC turning operations usingGibbsCAM
- Read, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize advancedG-code and macro programs
- UtilizeCommon Variables andScheduled Programming techniques
- Perform machine setup verification and support production operations
- Conductfirst-piece inspections and ensure quality standards are met
- Interpret and applyGD&T requirements
- Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve efficiency and uptime
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lights-out manufacturing goals
- Collaborate with production leadership to improve throughput and machine utilization
Qualifications
Required
- CNC programming and operating experience in milling and turning environments
- Proficiency withAutodesk Fusion CAM
- Experience withGibbsCAM for turning operations
- Experience withHaas andOkuma controllers
- Strong understanding ofGD&T
- Ability to read, modify, and troubleshoot advancedG-code and macros
- Experience withCommon Variables andScheduled Programming
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
- Self-sufficient with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on building lights-out manufacturing capabilities
Preferred
- Experience withTombstone Management Systems (TMS)
Schedule
Monday β Thursday
5:00 AM β 3:45 PM
- 45-minute unpaid lunch (11:45 AM β 12:30 PM)
- Fridays and Saturdays reserved for overtime as needed
- Overtime is typically communicated with at least two days' notice
