CNC Programmer I

Overview:

The CNC Programmer I supports the programming team by creating and modifying CNC programs for machined parts and assisting with documentation and program verification under guidance from senior programmers or manufacturing engineer(s).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop CNC programs for CNC mills and lathes using CAM software under supervision.
• Create setup documentation and tool lists.
• Assist with program simulation, first-article support, and basic troubleshooting.
• Update existing programs for minor design or process changes.
• Maintain organized program and tool data.
• Learn advanced programming techniques and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required:

• 1-3 years of CNC programming or advanced machining experience.
• Basic proficiency in CAM software and understanding of G-code.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Willingness to learn multi-axis programming and oil & gas component requirements.

Preferred:

• Hands-on machining experience.
• Familiarity with Mastercam, Espirit or similar software.
