The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer (Couplings) is responsible for developing and modifying CNC programs used in the production of coupling components. This role ensures machining accuracy, efficiency, and conformance to specifications while collaborating with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to optimize tooling, processes, and overall quality. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and adherence to safety and company standards are essential for success.

Requirements
- CNC Apprentice Requirements:Asa CNCApprentice,you willbe trainedin theskillsshown above.Musthave CNCexperiencefrom either College orsmallparts.
- CNC Programmer Requirements:5years of CNC VerticalandHorizontalLatheexperiencein a productionjobshopmanufacturing parts16"to78" indiameter.
- Must agreeto(and pass)drug screening,physical,and background check.
- Prior experience with the metric system and Okuma CNC’s are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and studysample parts,blueprints,drawings,and engineeringinformationtodetermine methods andsequences ofoperationsneededtofabricate productsanddetermine product dimensions andtolerances.
- Set controlstoregulate machining,orentercommands toretrieve,input,or editcomputerizedmachinecontrolmedia.
- Responsible for100%of the quality ofpartmanufactured.
- Calculate dimensions andtolerances using knowledge of mathematicsandinstruments suchasmanual and digital micrometers and calipers to meet tolerancerequirements.
- Monitor thefeedandspeedof machinesduringthe machiningprocess.
- Abletodetectanddiagnose machinemalfunctions andmakenecessaryadjustmentsorrepairs.
- Conductand record maintenance onthemachine(s).
- ExcellentEnglishwrittenandverbal communicationskillswithbothtechnical and non-technicalpersonnelin variousinner-companydepartments,customers, andvendors.
- Performalltasksinasafe and responsible manner.
- Thispositionreports directlyto the CAD/CAM CNC Supervisor.
