CNC Engineer (54509)

Role

The CNC Engineer will program, optimize, and support CNC machining processes across our production floor. This role owns the technical side of manufacturing — translating designs into efficient, repeatable machining processes — while working closely with operators, quality, and engineering to ensure parts are made right, on time, and at target cost.

Essential Functions

• Develop and optimize CNC programs (3, 4, and 5-axis) using CAM software
• Select tooling, fixturing, feeds/speeds, and work holding for new and existing parts
• Perform program prove outs and first-article setups on the shop floor
• Troubleshoot machining issues related to tolerance, surface finish, tool wear, and cycle time
• Create and maintain setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation
• Support new part introduction from design review through production release
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and tooling cost
• Collaborate with Quality on inspection planning and non-conformance root-cause analysis
• Provide technical guidance and training to CNC Machinists.

• Works on own initiative, with minimum supervision.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and other sources for specifications.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This is an office position however, it may require standing, walking and reaching with hands and arms while on the shop floor.
