Build the Cloud Platform Behind a Major Healthcare Transformation
We are seeking an experiencedCloud Platform Engineer / Kafka Engineer to support a large-scale, multi-year healthcare platform transformation.
This role will focus on building, configuring, and supporting a modern cloud platform environment, with significant emphasis onApache Kafka, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Platform Service Design, and Cloud Platform Architecture.
The ideal candidate is not simply a general software engineer. We are looking for a hands-onplatform and cloud infrastructure engineer who has deep Kafka expertise and experience designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise cloud environments.
Critical Experience Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate6+ years of experience with the following core technologies and disciplines:

Healthcare industry experience is required.

Collaborate with architecture, engineering, application, infrastructure, and business teams

Support cloud migration, platform modernization, and transformation initiatives

Help transition existing healthcare capabilities to a moderncloud-native platform

Support complex integration environments spanning multiple functional workstreams

Participate in platform design and technical decisions throughout the transformation lifecycle

Candidates should be prepared to discuss how they have personally designed, configured, implemented, supported, or troubleshot Kafka environments.
Cloud Platform & Azure Expertise
Strong candidates will also have substantial experience with:
Microsoft Azure • Azure DevOps • Cloud Infrastructure • Cloud Platform Engineering • Cloud Platform Architecture • Cloud Platform Service Design • Cloud Configuration • Platform Implementation
Experience supporting large-scale cloud transformations, migrations, modernization initiatives, or enterprise re-platforming efforts is highly desirable.
Healthcare Experience Required
Candidates must have professional experience within thehealthcare industry.
Experience supportingPharmacy Benefit Management, PBM, pharmacy platforms, healthcare benefits, health insurance, payer environments, or large healthcare technology transformations is particularly relevant.
About the Project
You will support a major, multi-year initiative focused on developing a newcloud-native Pharmacy Benefit Management platform while migrating and re-implementing existing PBM capabilities and client business.
The transformation spans approximately16 functional workstreams, creating a complex environment involving platform engineering, capability development, integration, cloud transformation, and enterprise modernization.
