About the Role

The Clinical Scientist in our Digital Health Sciences team will serve as a trusted scientific advisor to internal teams and external customers on the application of eCOA, eConsent, sensors, wearables, and other digital health technologies in clinical trials. You will bridge the gap between clinical science and technology, ensuring our solutions meet the rigorous scientific and regulatory requirements of modern clinical research. This role combines pre-sales support, scientific consultation, thought leadership, and product development input—offering variety, intellectual challenge, and the opportunity to shape the future of digital clinical trials.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Analyze study protocols and relevant clinical documents to identify scientific and technological requirements; document findings and present scientific content in client meetings and pre-sales activities
• Advise technical, operations, and client teams on eCOA and digital health solution design, ensuring designs align with clinical trial objectives and regulatory best practices
• Provide scientific consultation and support for special projects and client-specific scientific requests, including internal research initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging standards for clinical outcome assessments and digital health technologies
• Participate actively in industry forums, working groups, and collaborations with key opinion leaders to stay at the forefront of digital health innovation
• Develop thought leadership materials, scientific content, and marketing resources that demonstrate Signant Health's scientific expertise internally and externally
• Represent Signant Health at industry conferences, forums, webinars, and publications to build visibility and credibility in digital health science
• Develop training and marketing materials to support sales, client success, and product education
• Manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

• Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in biological science, healthcare, or related field
• 1-3 years' experience in clinical trial technology, digital health, or related industry (client-facing experience preferred)
• In-depth understanding of clinical research and the drug development cycle
• Knowledge of clinical outcome assessments (COA) and/or experience with eCOA, eConsent, EDC, sensors, and wearable technologies
• Proven ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
• Business-driven mindset with understanding of commercial drivers and growth objectives
• Ability to translate between scientific requirements and technology solutions; comfort bridging science and technology
• Proven ability to work effectively across teams in a matrix environment; strong team player with positive demeanor
• Ability to rapidly develop expertise in new areas through research, networking, and collaborative learning
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience in commercial pre-award activities, including bid defense, capabilities meetings, or solution design and requirement gathering
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, or using ePRO/eCOA solutions in clinical trials
• Track record of effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levels
