Risk Consulting – Technology Risk –SummerInternshipÂ

As a Risk Consulting Intern at RSM, you will workwith various sized businesses spanning industries likemanufacturing, real estate, construction, financial institution, not-for-profit, healthcare, and private equity. Interns will alsoreceive hands-on client experience with direct access to business owners and executive management.At the start of yourinternship,you will be assigned a “PerformanceAdvisor”, a more junior employee, who willaid in your development throughout the internship experience.Â

Our clients depend upon effective riskmanagement and internal audit services inorder to achieve their business objectives. Technology Risk Consulting “TRC” serves middle marketleaders globally to help transform their technology risk management and assurancecapabilities,so they arealigned to the key risks and strategies of their organization.Â

TRC professionalsutilize their background in accounting,business and Information Technology toprovide, including:Â
Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems,employees and company values Â
Assist clients on the design and optimization of controlsutilizing ageneral knowledge of business processes, accounting, and information technologies. Â
Use problem solving and critical thinking skills to quicklyidentify internal control deficiencies, evaluate their risk implications, and draw theappropriate conclusions to best advise our clientsÂ
Assist in creating internal control documentationto support client engagements Â
Engage with client leadership on strategies toanticipate emerging technology risksÂ
Examples of commonly performed TRC projects include:Â
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)/regulatory and compliance engagements for application andITcontrolsÂ
System and Controls (SOC) reporting and othercontrols opinion servicesÂ
Information Technology controls testing in support of financial statement auditsÂ
Technical IT controls reviewÂ
Internal audits over ERP systems, IT security, and other IT systemsÂ

Internship & ProgramRequirements:Â
Pursuing at least a B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from accrediteduniversity
There are 2different types of individuals that we look to hire into this team:Â
Major in Accountingand/or related degrees Â
Major in Information Systems and/or related degrees Â
Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred Â
Travel to assigned client locations may berequired. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations Â
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Â
Strong multi-tasking and project management skills Â
Ability to work as an effective member of a team Â
Mustpossess a high degree of integrity and professionalism Â

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
