Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedSite Civil Engineer to lead and grow our civil site practice in the Charleston, SC office. This leadership role requires an individual with a proven track record in business development, staff management, and project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the site civil group, cultivating client relationships, pursuing new business opportunities, and ensuring the overall financial success of the practice.

Key responsibilities include managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing design and permitting for site development projects, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, local market knowledge, and a passion for expanding the presence in the Lowcountry region.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders

• Establish and grow market presence through marketing and business development

• Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly

• Lead and contribute to the production of proposals

• Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff

• Establish staffing needs and conduct interviews for the team

• Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers

• Provide leadership and continuous performance management to support team growth and development

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program

• Professional Engineer License or equivalent

• 10+ years of experience in site civil engineering

• Project management and business development experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,622.00 - $82,193.00 per year
