Cisco Nexus

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K switches running NX-OS.

• Operate and troubleshoot Cisco ACI fabrics, including APIC, tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, contracts, endpoint learning, and fabric health.

• Administer Cisco Client services for RADIUS/TACACS+, 802.1X/MAB, profiling, posture, guest/BYOD, policy sets, and network-device administration.

• Administer Cisco Catalyst Center for discovery, inventory, site hierarchy, templates, provisioning, software image management, assurance, compliance, and network health monitoring.

• Administer Radware Alteon load balancers, including VIPs, real servers, server groups, health checks, persistence, content switching, NAT, SSL offload, and HA pairs.

• Diagnose Layer 2 through Layer 7 incidents using logs, packet captures, traffic-flow analysis, and platform-specific show/debug commands.

• Configure and support VLANs, trunks, vPC, port-channels, STP, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, ACLs, QoS, and data-center interconnect services.

• Support VXLAN EVPN environments where applicable, including underlay/overlay validation and endpoint reachability troubleshooting.

• Perform controlled changes, configuration backups, software upgrades, failover testing, rollback, and post-change validation.

• Investigate VIP or application-connectivity issues by validating client-to-VIP and load-balancer-to-real-server traffic paths.

• Coordinate with application, firewall, server, DNS, security, vendor, and service-management teams during incidents and planned activities.

• Create and maintain SOPs, operational runbooks, network diagrams, configuration standards, known-error records, and KT documentation.

• Participate in major incident bridges, problem management, root-cause analysis, service reviews, and 24x7support as required.

Cisco Nexus /Data center

• Cisco Nexus 2K,5k, 7k and 9k series; NX-OS administration and troubleshooting

• VLAN, trunking, STP/RSTP/MST, vPC, port-channel, FEX, HSRP/VRRP, ACL, and QoS

• OSPF, BGP, static routing, route filtering, redistribution, and first-hop redundancy

• VXLAN EVPN fundamentals, fabric operations, endpoint learning, and path validation

• Configuration backup/restore, NX-OS upgrades, redundancy checks, and capacity monitoring

Cisco ACI

• Cisco APIC administration, fabric discovery, inventory, health monitoring, faults, events, and audit review

• Tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, subnets, application profiles, endpoint groups, contracts, filters, and subjects

• Physical and virtual domains, VLAN pools, AEPs, interface policy groups, access policies, and VMM integration

• L3Out connectivity, external EPGs, routing protocol integration, route control, and service-graph fundamentals

• Endpoint learning, COOP, VXLAN overlay, underlay IS-IS, fabric upgrades, backup/restore, and troubleshooting

Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client)

• RADIUS and TACACS+ services for network access control and device administration

• 802.1X, MAB, profiling, posture, guest access, BYOD onboarding, and certificate-based authentication

• Policy sets, authentication and authorization rules, downloadable ACLs, security groups, and segmentation support

• Policy Administration, Policy Service, and Monitoring nodes; distributed deployment, synchronization, backup, and upgrades

• Integration with Active Directory, PKI, network devices, wireless infrastructure, Catalyst Center/SDA, and security platforms

Cisco Catalyst Center

• Device discovery, inventory, credentials, site hierarchy, network settings, and device lifecycle management

• Plug and Play onboarding, templates, configuration automation, compliance checks, and software image management

• Assurance dashboards, device and client health, incidents, telemetry, events, and path-trace troubleshooting

• SD-Access fundamentals, fabric sites, border/control-plane/edge roles, virtual networks, and policy integration

• Integration with Cisco Client, wireless controllers, ThousandEyes, APIs, and operational tools

Radware Alteon Load Balancer

• Virtual IPs, virtual services, real servers, server groups, and Layer 4/Layer 7 policies

• TCP, HTTP, and HTTPS health checks; service status validation and server enable/disable operations

• Load-distribution methods, persistence, content switching, NAT/SNAT, SSL offloading, and certificate support

• High-availability pairs, synchronization, failover/failback, and blue-green upgrade support

• Session analysis, application-flow troubleshooting, configuration backup, packet capture, and vendor case management
