Position: Christian Counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Registered Intern)
Reports to: Clinical Director
Position Type: This position begins as part-time during the initial 2 to 4 weeks while the clinician completes onboarding, training, and caseload development. The length of this transition period may vary based on the clinician’s level of experience and readiness. Following successful completion of training and initial support, the position will transition to a full-time salaried role.

Position Overview:
The Full-Time Renewed Clinician plays a vital role in our organization by providing high-quality psychotherapy services to individuals and families. As a qualified mental health professional, you will guide clients through their therapeutic journeys, offering care that is ethically sound and biblically informed. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Renewed Clinician will support the organization’s initiatives and collaborate with colleagues and leadership to contribute to the broader mission of promoting mental and spiritual health.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Services
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual evaluations, to address clients’ presenting concerns, strengths, and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using The Renewed Tree Model™, to help clients achieve personal growth and healing.
- Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy, integrating biblical principles in alignment with clients’ preferences.
- Assist clients in healing from trauma, enhancing coping mechanisms, nurturing relationships, and discovering their purpose in life.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Once Salary, the clinician maintains a weekly caseload of 32-34 clients scheduled; sees 27 clients on average per week. Ensures average of 85% client attendance rate.
Clinical Caseload
- All Full-Time salary staff work 40 hours per week.
- Clinicians may work fully in-office, or hybrid depending on the clinic location and position being offered.
- Direct Clinical Hours once Full-Time can vary based on the clinician's selected caseload tier. Lower caseload is 24 clients seen per week. Standard caseload is 27 clients seen per week. Compensation is based on the Caseload Tier that the clinician selects and maintains.
- Clinicians are allowed to work their non-direct clinical hours from home, but they must be available for staff meetings and supervision calls virtually and ensure that documentation is in compliance.
- Renewed provides flexibility for clinicians seeking steady income while managing caseloads that fit their current season of life. We recognize that one standard caseload does not meet every need, and we value offering options that support both professional growth and personal well-being.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality, informed consent, and relevant state regulations.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and case managers, to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in regular supervision and consultation to enhance clinical skills and foster professional growth.
- Support clinical leadership and assist with other mission-related responsibilities when needed.
Administrative Duties:
- Dedicate non-direct clinical time to tasks such as documentation, team meetings, and special assignments from leadership.
- Engage in program development, training initiatives, and faith-based outreach to raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce stigma.
Professional Development:
- Stay informed about emerging best practices, ethical guidelines, and research in the mental health field.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to refine clinical skills and expand knowledge.

Eligibility for Salary-Based Compensation:
- Maintain the assigned caseload and client retention goals.
- Complete all required non-direct clinical hours and deliver consistently high-quality care.
Additional Duties:
- May be ask to contribute to community outreach efforts, write blog posts if this is an area of interest and strength, creating mental health content, or participating in video production to engage with the community.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Registered Intern Status.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to develop and execute treatment plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to establishing therapeutic rapport.
- Cultural competence, humility, and a dedication to ethical clinical practice.
- Alignment with the mission and values of Renewed Integrative Counseling.
- Ability to integrative faith in counseling and serve as a biblically informed counselor as 75% of our clients are seeking faith-based therapy. We provide internal initial and ongoing spiritual integration training and support to all faith-based clinicians.

Work Location:
We are currently hiring for our Riverview, Lakeland, and Brandon clinic locations. These positions are full-time and require in-person work. Hybrid work schedule can vary, with the clinician being on-site MWF or T/TH depending on the clinic location and needs. Details are discussed in the interview process.
