Chief SAP BI Developer (HANA Modeling)

We are hiring aChief SAP BI Developer (HANA Modeling)to drive BI, planning, and reporting using SAP HANA modeling, BPC, SAC, and AfO. You will lead BI consultants across Financial Production squads (Plan, Expenses, Reporting) and partner with business and IT stakeholders. You will also own client knowledge transfer and a durable knowledge base.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of SAP BI consultants, sharing technical direction and best practices
• Contribute to technical and functional design across multiple squads (Plan, Expenses, Reporting) within Financial Production
• Identify delivery risks, track existing issues, and define an appropriate mitigation plan
• Provide expert technical guidance and support development work to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes
• Design, configure, and tune SAP BPC to enable planning and consolidation processes
• Build and improve SAP Analytics Cloud dashboards and reports to meet business needs
• Maintain and optimize SAP Analysis for Office reports, ensuring they align with stakeholder expectations
• Ensure integration of BI solutions with SAP S/4HANA and additional data sources as required
• Facilitate knowledge transfer from the client team, capturing key processes and best practices
• Create and maintain a knowledge database, keeping documentation current and accurate
• Optimize performance and improve data accuracy across BI reporting and analytics
• Deliver end-user training and provide ongoing support to drive adoption of BI tools

Requirements

• Proven track record with 7+ years of experience delivering SAP BI solutions focused on HANA, BPC, SAC, and AfO
• Demonstrated experience leading BI teams and guiding delivery across projects
• Deep expertise in SAP BPC (Embedded) for enterprise planning and consolidation
• Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud data modeling, dashboard creation, and predictive analytics
• Solid understanding of SAP Analysis for Office and financial/operational reporting practices
• Working knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA integration patterns, and data connectivity concepts
• Experience running knowledge transfer and producing documentation that enables smooth team transitions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot, decide, and resolve complex issues
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities with clear, effective communication
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• SAP BPC or SAC certification
• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA and HANA modeling
• Knowledge of scripting and automation in SAC or BPC
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management best practices
