Our infra code is mostly Go, our backend APIs are Python, and our dashboard is React/Typescript. We work very closely with customers – they’re all in a communal Slack channel with us, so it’s important that you’re interested in interacting with them (luckily, our customers are all developers).

The role

Beam is an ultrafast AI inference platform. We built a serverless runtime that launches GPU-backed containers in under a second and scales out to thousands of GPUs. Developers use Beam to serve apps to millions of users around the globe. We're backed by Y Combinator, Tiger Global, and prominent developer-tool founders, including the founder of Snyk and the former CTO of GitHub.### About the RoleWe're hiring a Chief of Staff to be the right hand to our founding team. You'll take over a lot of what the CEO does today and own it end to end. You'll see every part of a fast-growing infrastructure company, and the role will grow as fast as you do.### What You'll Do* **Run data center operations.** Bring new capacity online, track SLAs, and chase issues down until they're resolved.* **Support customers.** Be a point of contact for key accounts, coordinate onboarding, and handle escalations.* **Manage contracts and partners.** Do first-pass review of NDAs, MSAs and partner agreements, work through redlines with counsel, and get them signed.* **Secure hardware supply.** Source hardware, negotiate with data centers and capacity partners, and move deals from first call to signed contract.* **Drive company-wide projects.** This includes compliance, pricing, launches, and the internal processes that keep us moving fast.* **Support fundraising and investor relations.** Draft investor updates, maintain data rooms, and prep for board meetings.* **Give the CEO leverage.** Prep for meetings, follow up after them, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.### Skills & Experience* Extreme attention to detail* You take ownership of mission-critical projects end to end without needing to be managed* 3–5 years in a high-ownership role, such as an early-stage startup, operations, BizOps, consulting, banking, or a technical role you've outgrown* Strong writer and confident negotiator with partners and vendors* Technical enough to talk credibly about GPUs, cloud infrastructure, and developer tools (an engineering background is a plus but not required)* Thrive with ambiguity and fast-shifting priorities* Excited to work closely with customers and partners**Nice to have*** Experience with data centers, hardware procurement, or cloud infrastructure* Comfort reading contracts and structuring deals* Previous experience at a YC or venture-backed startup### Benefits* Competitive salary and meaningful equity* Join a fast-growing pre-Series A company on the ground floor* Health, dental, and vision benefits with 90% coverage for you and 50% for dependents* Opportunities to represent Beam at events across the AI and cloud infrastructure community* Fitness stipend, learning budget, and much, much more
