We’re hiring super bright engineers to join our ChennaiCustomer Support (TechnicalProduct Support)team as we transform how the things we eat, wear, and play with, are transported worldwide.The Support Engineer works directly withKaleris/Navis customers supporting our Terminal Operating System (TOS) products like N4, Master Terminal and Octopi. This role involves managing customer accounts and collaborating with global teams to deliver technical solutions. This is not a developer role—SupportEngineer do not write or fix code. Our focus is on troubleshooting, analysis, and customer advocacy.Ifyou’re naturally a helper, enjoyassisting people with computer software issues andare able to explain technical details simply,we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
Support and troubleshoot software applications
Manage customerreportedcases/issuesthroughto resolution
Verify,reproduce and isolate faults in software reported by the Customers
Answer customer queries withdetailed investigationand clear communication
Serve as customer advocate throughout the customer lifecycle
Must be willing to work in shift based on business needs
Apply analyticalthinking and strong technical troubleshooting skills
Learn and adoptnew technologies and services
Perform account managementtaskssuch ascase reviews, customerconference calls andassistingwith project go-lives
Travel as needed and work extended hours under tight deadlines whenrequired
Requirements
Education
Engineering Degree (B.E /B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT related disciplines withCGPAof7.5 or higher
Technical Skills
Knowledge and/or on experience with JAVA, XML,Apache and client-server applications.
Knowledge and/or experience in coding with Core Java/Groovy isadvantageous
Familiarity with MS SQL Server,Oracle and Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, J2EE)
Understanding of relational database structures and web-based enterprise solutions
Soft Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Strong Customer Service orientation
Detail-oriented,self-motivated and assertive communicator
Ability to work in shifts and collaborate in virtual teams across locations
Leadership, timemanagement and organizational skills
Optional Qualifications
Hands on experience with Java Programming
Experience with Windows server including clustering and VMWare
Networking technologies especially TCP/IP, Linux (orotherflavor of UNIX)
