Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
- Operate centrifuge equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Monitor equipment performance, process parameters, and product quality.
- Perform startup, shutdown, and routine operational checks.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize production and separation processes.
- Inspect equipment for signs of wear, malfunction, or safety concerns.
- Complete routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Collect and document production and operational data.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate major equipment problems to maintenance personnel.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate production logs, reports, and maintenance records.
- Assist with inventory management of supplies and operating materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Previous experience operating industrial machinery preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, safety procedures, and work instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with centrifuge systems in manufacturing, wastewater treatment, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, or food production environments.
- Forklift certification (if applicable).
- Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards.
Work Environment
- Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
- Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Â Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Â Work in confined spaces. Â Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. Â If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Â Work days, nights, and weekends. Â Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
- Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Â Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Â Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Â Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks. Â
