Laundry Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

Celebrations Group Ltd. is seeking for a reliable and full-timeLaundry Assistant to be responsible for cleaning, ironing, polishing, organizing, and preparing linens, dishes, cutlery, glassware, and other event-related items. The position also assists with event setup and breakdown.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash, dry, iron, fold, and organize linens.
• Clean, sanitize, and polish dishes, cutlery, glassware, and serving items.
• Inspect items and report any stains, damage, breakage, or missing pieces.
• Count, pack, and prepare clean items for events.
• Assist with loading, unloading, event setup, and breakdown.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely.
• Keep all laundry, washing, polishing, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow all hygiene, safety, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• This position is for male candidates only due to the nature and scope of work.
• Minimum 1-year previous laundry, dishwashing, housekeeping, hospitality, or event experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift or carry up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel to event locations and assist with setup and breakdown.
• Should have a Group 2 driving license and personal transportation
• Will be required to work in the warehouse and outdoors in various weather conditions

The salary range is CI$8.75–CI$10.00 per hour, working 45 hours per week, depending on qualifications, knowledge, and experience. Benefits as deemed by law. This is a full-time position.

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Saturdays 9am to 1pm but may vary depending on the busy season.
