Compensation & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $28.00 per hour
- $3,000 Hiring Bonus
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Consistent eight-hour schedule withno midday break deducted
- Year-round work, including winter, spring, and summer school breaks

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to CDL applicants and existing drivers.
- Prepare trainees for CDL knowledge, pre-trip inspection, basic vehicle control, and road skills examinations.
- Teach and reinforce safe school bus operation, defensive driving, pre-trip inspections, student transportation procedures, and company safety expectations.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide clear, constructive coaching and feedback.
- Track trainee progress and communicate concerns or additional training needs to management.
- Maintain accurate and organized training records, documentation, and driver training files.
- Assist with refresher, remedial, and safety training for existing drivers.
- Maintain an organized training schedule and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and supportive learning environment.
- Serve as a positive example of safe driving, professionalism, attendance, and customer service.
- Cover school bus routes, field trips, and other driving assignments when training demand is low.
- Perform other training and transportation-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- ValidClass B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) withPassenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Must have held a Class B CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements for aminimum of two years.
- Strong knowledge of safe commercial and school bus driving practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, files, and training documentation.
- Ability to communicate instructions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to coach individuals with varying levels of driving experience and learning styles.
- Professional, dependable, patient, and safety-focused.
- Willing and able to operate school buses and cover routes or field trips when needed.
- Must meet all applicable DOT, state, company, and school bus driver qualification requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience training, mentoring, or coaching commercial drivers.
- Experience providing behind-the-wheel CDL instruction.
- Knowledge of Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements and school bus driver training requirements.
- Experience maintaining driver qualification or training records.
