We're looking for a dependable, safety-focusedCDL Class A Driver to join our Transportation team and help keep our operations moving!

Position Summary

As a CDL Class A Driver, you'll safely operate tractor-trailers and other Class A commercial vehicles to transport donated goods, retail merchandise, recycling materials, equipment, and supplies between Goodwill locations and external partners.

This is an active, hands-on position that combines commercial driving with loading, unloading, and material handling. Your work will directly support the movement of donated goods and help generate revenue that funds Goodwill's employment and training programs.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and company policies.
• Transport donated goods, merchandise, recycling materials, and supplies between retail stores, donation centers, warehouses, and other locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required driver logs and DOT documentation.
• Load, unload, secure, and move donated goods, including items weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Follow proper cargo securement, load distribution, and safe material handling procedures.
• Communicate with warehouse, retail, and donation center teams to support efficient pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain clean, organized vehicles and work areas while following established safety procedures.
• Assist with sorting, staging, and moving donated goods as operational needs require.

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL Class A license required, with a clean driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and commercial vehicle safety standards.
• Previous commercial driving, delivery, or transportation experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness and ability to obtain certification.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to safe driving practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Ability to frequently lift and move 50 pounds or more, climb in and out of commercial vehicles, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and DOT drug and alcohol testing.
