Purpose of the Job

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will direct purchase planning for multiple jobs, either project- or account-based. This person will work directly with Business Development, Implementation, external agencies, and suppliers to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that ensures high quality and competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop a high volume of solution proposals for multiple projects
• Perform procurement and project management for projects, with an understanding of the client’s objectives
• Manage communication channels to ensure smooth workflow
• Oversee specifications for the account to ensure all client requirements, quality expectation, availability, and delivery dates are clear
• Supervise requests for bid specifications and sending bids to selected vendors
• Ensure that savings targets are being hit
• Investigate potential suppliers and make recommendations based on manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and schedule availability
• Assign and prioritize projects, set goals and timelines, and communicate progress to internal management
• Handle disputes with suppliers and partner with with our Client Engagement Team
• Provide strategic support in cases where improvements in purchasing effectiveness are achieved
• Partner with the VP of Implementation to understand the ongoing priorities of the department
• Tender pricing and due diligence;
• Supplier analysis;
• Supplier Management;
• Accountable for overall Supplier Management / Innovation and must strategically manage new and existing sourcing relationships with a focus on supplier total cost of ownership and value;
• Ensure continuity of supply through the development of excellent supplier partnerships ensuring full awareness of Business Continuity plans;
• Responsible for all vendor contracts and negotiations;
• Work with the internal team to complete all tender requirements within given schedules.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• 5+ years of Sourcing and Purchasing Marketing experience (Print & Temporary displays materials)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Business, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English and Spanish required
• Proven project management experience
• Highly proficient with MS Office software, especially with Excel
• Strong experience negotiating job costs and schedules with suppliers
• Independent thinking, strong organization, and planning abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed
