Security Financial Bank (SFB) is seeking a friendly, reliable Casual Part-Time Teller to join our Durand team. This role is especially well suited for someone looking for a recurring Saturday morning schedule, with the opportunity for additional weekday shifts as available.

Position Summary:
As a Teller, you’ll be the face of the bank, helping customers with their daily financial needs while ensuring accuracy and professionalism. You will build relationships with customers, handle cash responsibly, help identify customer needs, and support the branch team in delivering the personal service our communities count on.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers with deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactions
- Verifying checks, endorsements, and proper identification
- Balancing your cash drawer daily and assisting with branch balancing tasks
- Answering customer inquiries in person and by phone, while maintaining confidentiality
- Referring customers to other SFB team members for specialized services
- Supporting branch operations and ensuring compliance with regulations
Schedule:
- Primary need: rotating Saturday mornings, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Additional weekday shifts depending on branch needs and your availability
- Casual Part-time Employees work up to 19 hours per week
- To support effective training, the selected candidate must be available for more frequent weekday shifts during the initial training period
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma, the equivalent or working towards a high school diploma
- A dependable individual with a strong record of reliability and customer service
- Prior cash-handling experience
- Attention to detail and ability to balance transactions accurately
- A friendly, professional attitude and willingness to learn
- Proficiency with computer and comfort learning new systems
- Knowledge of bank products, services, and various federal regulations is a plus!
Working conditions, including physical requirements:
-  Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance of personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental, audio, visual, and verbal concentration required in responding to customer requests, computer work and viewing monitors. Fine motor skills to operate mouse and keyboard. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally daytime hours Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays.
- Must be able to stand and walk the majority of the work shift hours to serve customers at the Teller line and drive-up.Â
- Must be able to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds infrequently.
- Bending, stooping about 5-10% of the workday depending on the day’s job duties (such as vault counts).
- Serves as a representative of the organization at appropriate functions
