Your responsibilities day to day will be…
- Take full ownership of the Fuel divisional cash flow forecast, covering approximately £200m of weekly gross cash flows, ensuring accurate, timely and reliable submissions. Â
- Build, maintain and continuously improve robust short-term and long-term cash forecasting models, incorporating key business drivers and anticipated cash movements. Â
- Monitor actual cash flows against forecast, undertake detailed variance analysis, and provide clear insight into the key drivers behind forecast performance. Â
- Identify cash flow trends, risks and opportunities, providing meaningful analysis to support effective cash and liquidity management. Â
- Work closely with key stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to gather, challenge and validate forecasting assumptions and improve the quality of cash flow inputs. Â
- Collaborate with the Group Treasury Team to provide accurate and timely cash flow information and support the optimisation of cash positions. Â
- Produce high-quality cash flow reporting and analysis, translating complex data into clear and meaningful insights for senior stakeholders. Â
- Act as a key point of contact for cash forecasting queries, investigating discrepancies and working with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues. Â
- Support the wider Finance team in developing greater understanding of cash flow forecasting, including sharing best practice and improving the quality of forecast submissions. Â
- Review existing forecasting processes, reporting and controls, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency and automation. Â
- Support the development of forecasting tools and reporting solutions to improve visibility of cash movements and reduce reliance on manual processes. Â
- Contribute to ad-hoc analysis, projects and initiatives relating to cash flow, treasury and wider Finance objectives.Â

- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Finance, Treasury, FP&A, Cash Management or similar analytical role. Â
- Strong experience of cash flow forecasting, financial modelling or financial analysis. Â
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyse large and complex data sets. Â
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate variances and translate data into meaningful insight. Â
- Ability to build and maintain robust financial models and continually improve forecasting methodologies. Â
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity. Â
- Ability to produce high-quality reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders. Â
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and obtain accurate information from across the business. Â
- Ability to prioritise workloads and deliver to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment. Â
- An autonomous and enthusiastic self-starter who takes ownership of their responsibilities and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.Â
