About The Job:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for daily reconciliation of payments posted in Accounts Receivable (AR) systems against bank records and the General Ledger (GL).
- This role also includes month-end accounting activities such as journal entry processing and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reconcile multiple payment flows from various AR systems against bank accounts and General Ledger records to ensure payments received are accurately posted to customer accounts.
- Investigate and resolve payment variances between Accounts Receivable, banking systems, and the General Ledger in a timely manner.
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and general ledger account reconciliations across multiple payment streams.
- Prepare samples and supporting documentation for SOX control testing and audit reviews.
- Review and reconcile credit card chargeback requests originating from multiple AR systems.
- Manage the team's shared mailbox and provide responses, support, and insights to various business groups within established SLAs.
- Support ad hoc financial analyses, reporting requests, and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 1–5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, and Oracle.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new financial systems and tools.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Accounts Receivable reconciliations and payment processing.
- General Ledger reconciliation and journal entry experience.
- Knowledge of SOX controls and audit support processes.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills for variance resolution.
- Experience working in a shared services or finance operations environment.
