Overview Seeking a dependable and customer-focusedCarts Co-worker to support store operations by maintaining shopping carts and other shopping tools, assisting customers in the loading area, and providing support across customer service functions. This is an active, hands-on position requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
Required Skills
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to provide friendly and efficient assistance to customers.
- Comfortable retrieving, organizing, and maintaining shopping carts throughout the shift.
- Ability to assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise.
- Comfortable working outdoors and remaining active throughout the shift.
- Ability to maintain clean and organized customer and loading areas.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work a flexible retail schedule.
- Ability to workfive shifts per week between Sunday and Saturday, including weekends as scheduled.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Retrieve and maintain shopping carts and baby strollers throughout the store and parking/loading areas.
- Keep shopping tools stocked and available, including carts, bags, pencils, maps, and twine.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and safe loading zone by removing cardboard, strapping, excess carts, and other materials.
- Inspect shopping tools and remove damaged or unsafe equipment from use.
- Assist customers with questions and resolve basic issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Support other customer service areas as needed, including Full Serve Hand Out, Exchanges & Returns, and Click & Collect.
- Stage returned products and equipment appropriately for the next step in the process.
- Ensure Click & Collect orders are accurately handed over to customers.
- Restock shopping tools at closing to prepare for the next business day.
- Previous retail, cart attendant, lot attendant, grocery, warehouse, or customer-facing experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable performing physical work for the majority of the shift.
