Job Description

As a Courier at the Exchange, you’ll play an important role in supporting daily operations by safely and efficiently transporting documents, packages, merchandise, supplies, and other materials between designated locations.

If you are dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and enjoy being on the move throughout your workday, this may be the position for you. As a Courier, you will be responsible for ensuring assigned deliveries and pickups are completed accurately, securely, and in a timely manner while providing professional and courteous service.
You’ll also be responsible for the safe operation of assigned vehicles and following applicable Exchange safety and operating procedures.

So, what can you expect as a Courier at the Exchange?
  • Safely operate an assigned vehicle while following applicable safety and operating procedures.
  • Pick up and deliver documents, packages, merchandise, supplies, and other materials to designated locations.
  • Ensure items are properly handled and delivered to the appropriate destination.
  • Load and unload items as necessary to complete assigned deliveries.
  • Maintain accountability for materials while in transit.
  • Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, associates, and other personnel.
  • Maintain an organized work environment and assigned vehicle.
  • Communicate delays, delivery issues, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Follow established safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Assist with additional operational duties as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Additional Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must meet applicable driving record requirements
  • Must be able to safely operate an assigned vehicle
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry items weighing at least 20 pounds and perform the physical requirements associated with loading and unloading materials.
  • Must be able to load, unload, and transport packages, supplies, and other materials
  • Must be willing to work assigned schedules based on operational needs
  • Must follow all applicable safety and vehicle operating procedures

Job Qualifications

Completion of high school or the equivalent. Six months or more of satisfactory driving experience plus a valid motor vehicle operator's license as required by local state laws and military regulations.

PROPOSED SCHEDULE: MON - FRI: 0730-1600; SAT/SUN: OFF
SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITH PROPER NOTICE DUE TO THE OPERATIONAL NEEDS OF THE FACILITY. 

Major Duties

Provides high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Greets each customer upon contact and/or line of sight. Keeps their needs foremost and creates a welcoming environment, actively engages, and builds trust relationship with the customer in order to deliver a personalized customer experience.
Operates an Exchange vehicle. Maintains cleanliness and provides basic vehicle maintenance (check oil, tires, gas, etc.) within accordance of policies and procedures.
Picks up and delivers a variety of items, to include, but not limited to, cash, mail, documents, supplies, and customers' orders.
Updates and maintains files and other documentation control, maintains required suspense files and logs.
Assures compliance with fire, safety, and security regulations, as well as ensuring the security of fixed assets, cash, and inventory. Practices loss prevention procedures and alerts security and management of potential problems that may involve fraud, waste, and abuse.
Performs other duties as assigned.
