What You'll Do

You'll be an integral part of the data team, this role researches, analyzes, and codes data across the Marine, Powersports, Trailer, Manufactured Housing, and RV industries — working from HINs and VINs to determine manufacturers, models, trims, series, and other attributes. The role exercises independent judgment to classify records, enters data into internal systems with strong quality control, and investigates and resolves data issues as they arise. It also collaborates to meet monthly production deadlines for each industry's customer release and partners with the Product team to expand the data delivered to customers. Duties inclued but are not limited to:

• Analyze HINs and VINs and code each to a specific model, type, propulsion, material, and related attributes

• Research and exercise independent judgment to classify dealerships by type — such as sales-only versus sales-and-rentals — with decisions that directly determine how information is presented to customers

• Review data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency in accordance with policies and procedures prior to entry

• Enter data into management systems quickly and accurately, correcting source data in the process — including spelling and grammar — with strong attention to detail and a high degree of quality control and quality assurance

• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues and missing information as they arise, including through industry research via the web, review of previously entered information, and use of AI tooling

• Work as part of the data team to meet five distinct monthly production deadlines — one per industry (Marine, Powersports, Trailer, Manufactured Housing, and RV) — collaborating across the team to ensure coded data for every industry is validated and handed off to the Engineering team on schedule so each release reaches customers on time

• Partner with the Product team on projects to expand the data attributes delivered in customer-facing output, enhancing the depth and value of the product

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in data research, data entry, or a similar data-coding role

• Demonstrated ability to perform highly repetitive, detail-intensive work at high volume, day after day, without a drop-off in accuracy — this role involves coding large batches of similar records against consistent rules, month after month, and is not a good fit for someone who needs frequent task variety to stay engaged

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong personal standard for accuracy; comfortable being held to defined quality control and quality assurance benchmarks

• Strong ability to sustain focus and consistency over long stretches of similar, methodical tasks while meeting firm, recurring monthly deadlines

• Sound independent judgment — able to research and make defensible classification decisions on ambiguous or incomplete records without step-by-step direction

• Comfortable following detailed, rules-based procedures precisely and consistently, while still knowing when to escalate or flag genuine exceptions

• Some college or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel & Outlook

• Comfort using AI tools to support research and data work

• Ability to work efficiently under production pressure without sacrificing quality, and to self-check work before it moves downstream

Bonus Points

• Prior utilization of Jira & Slack

• Knowledge of the RV, Marine, Trailer, Powersports, or Manufactured Housing industries

• Working knowledge of SQL Server, including the ability to run queries
