Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to join our local Finance team and support the delivery of accurate, efficient, and well-controlled financial operations.

In this role, you will support a range of finance activities, including invoice record keeping, processing expense reimbursement forms, and preparing financial reports. You will also provide support in selected budgeting and forecasting activities, contributing to specific financial planning and reporting tasks as needed.

You will contribute to maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and compliance, assist with audit-related activities, and support the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting.

Our job opening for “Finance Assistant” in Romania is a full-time, office-based position in Cluj-Napoca.

As a Finance Assistant you will:

  • Manage invoices, collecting and recording them in the internal platform;

  • Prepare and process delegation orders for colleagues participating in various business activities and events;

  • Review and process reimbursement forms in the internal platform;

  • Support financial reporting by preparing weekly and monthly cost reports, forecasting activities by gathering, analyzing and consolidating financial data;

  • Address inquiries from financial controllers, and assist with internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting documentation

  • Perform bank statement reconciliations and validate financial data

  • Communicate with colleagues to address their questions, provide clarification, and support them with any finance-related inquiries.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, challenge existing ways of working, and contribute to developing more efficient, streamlined, and data-driven finance processes.

  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks and compile various reports as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or Informatics;

  • 1–2 years of proved experience in finance, financial services, banking, audit, accounting, or a related field.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis; experience with statistical software is considered a plus.

  • Strong skills in written and spoken English;

  • Strong organizational and time management skills;

  • Strong communication and coordination skills;

  • Professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information.
