This is a unique opportunity for ajunior lawyer—or for a lawyer seeking to move away from active litigation practice—to join a high‑caliber legal team working on complex, quality‑driven mandates.

Our business partner, a pan‑Canadian and international law firm, is currently seeking a contract lawyer for an approximately 12‑month mandate, with the possibility of renewal. The position is primarily remote, with occasional team meetings—held virtually or in person—at the firm’s Montréal office.

YOUR ROLE:

In the context of major construction litigation matters, you will be involved in large‑scale and strategic files, including:

• Reviewing and analyzing legal and technical documentary evidence in complex matters;

• Drafting detailed research memoranda on related legal issues, as well as internal memoranda;

• Supporting the preparation of examinations and hearings;

• Identifying, extracting, and synthesizing legally significant information;

• Participating in team meetings to help guide next steps and contribute to the development of litigation strategies.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Member in good standing of the Québec Bar;

• At least1 year of relevant experience, ideally in litigation or construction law;

• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and precision;

• Bilingualism, with well‑developed analytical and synthesis skills;

• Ability to efficiently manage large volumes of documents and strong team spirit.
