Our client is a professional services firm with a global presence. Recognized both nationally and internationally for its legal expertise and high-profile clientele, this top-tier employer is currently seeking a lawyer to join its Data Protection, Privacy, and Cybersecurity team.

On a day-to-day basis, you will work with a sophisticated and international client base regarding obligations and coverage related to legal and operational privacy issues, particularly in the context of information technology. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer with approximately two years of experience in this field who is looking to join a large firm.

YOUR ROLE:

As a lawyer, your responsibilities will include, among others:

• Providing legal advice and opinions on personal information management and privacy protection;
• Offering guidance on risk and cyber-risk management;
• Analyzing insurance coverage and advising clients on claims;
• Supporting clients during cybersecurity incidents and personal data breach situations;
• Working with clients to improve privacy procedures and communications;
• Delivering training sessions on personal information protection.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Member in good standing of the Québec Bar;
• Approximately two years of relevant experience in data protection, acquired either in-house or in private practice;
• Bilingual in French and English, with strong writing and communication skills;
• Agility and ease working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities;
• Discretion, sound judgment, and strategic thinking;
• Availability and rigor.
