We are looking for aChefto join our team at a busy, fast-paced café Bistro on the outskirts of Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled chef who thrives in a fast paced kitchen environment and is looking for daytime hours and evenings off.

Role Details:

• Location: Preston(pr4) 
• Hours: 8:30 am – 4/4:30 pm,5 days out of 7, including weekends
• Start Date: 12th March 
• Requirements: Must haveown transport and beavailable ongoing –reliability is essential

Responsibilities:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of homemade dishes to a high standard, opportunity to contribute to menu changes and daily specials 
• Managing your section efficiently, ensuring consistency and quality in all food preparation
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Managing stock levels, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring proper storage procedures
• Supporting the Head Chef and wider team during busy service times and covering their 2 days off 
• Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of your section and the kitchen as a whole

Requirements:

• Previous experience as 2nd chef  or in a similar role within a busy café or restaurant
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• A passion for homemade, quality food and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Own transport is essential due to location and working hours
