Ciena is expanding its Interconnects business across China, Taiwan, and the broader Asia region, enabling next-generation AI, cloud, and compute infrastructure. This role provides technical leadership that connects customer requirements with optical interconnect and silicon solutions,influencingproductadoptionandlong-termbusinessgrowth.Thepositioncombinescustomer-facingengineeringengagementwithcross-functionalcollaborationacrossbusinessdevelopment,productmanagement,andengineeringteams.

Howyouwillmakeanimpact:

• Leadpre-salestechnicalengagementforCiena’sInterconnectsportfolioacrosshyperscalers,OEM/ODMs,andAI/computesystempartners.

• Drivelabbring-up,debugging,interoperabilityvalidation,configuration,andperformancetestingactivities.

• Translatecustomersystemarchitecturesandrequirementsintotechnicalsolutionrecommendationsandproductroadmapinput.

• Guidecomplexdesign-winopportunitiesfromevaluationthroughproductioninpartnershipwithbusinessdevelopmentandaccountteams.

• Serveastheprimarytechnicalinterfaceforproof-of-concepts,interoperabilityevents,complianceactivities,andearlydeployments.

• Delivertechnicalworkshops,productdemonstrations,architecturereviews,andexecutive-leveltechnicalpresentations.

• Gatherecosystem,competitive,silicon,andopticalinterconnectinsightstoinformproductlifecyclemanagementandroadmapalignment.

Themusthaves:

• Experience:~10yearsinsales/solutionsengineering,high-speedhardware,opticalinterconnect,siliconbring-up,ordatacentersystemsengineering.

• ApplicationofDSP/retimer,SERDES,optics/pluggables,AEC/ACC,PCIe,Ethernet,high-speedtestequipment,orrelatedtechnologies.

• ExperienceworkingdirectlywithAsia-basedhyperscalers,cloudbuilders,OEMs,orODMs.

• Utilizationofoscilloscopes,BERTs,IBIS-AMI,simulationtools,orsignalintegritytoolsfordebuggingandvalidationactivities.

• Education:Bachelor’sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,ComputerEngineering,orasimilarfield.

• FluentMandarinandprofessionalEnglishcommunicationskills,includingwrittenandspokencommunication.

• Documentation,presentation,andcommunicationskillssupportingcollaborationacrossengineering,productmanagement,andcommercialteams.

Nicetohaves:

• Education:Master’sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,ComputerEngineering,orasimilarfield.

• ReadingproficiencyinTraditionalChinesetosupportTaiwancustomerengagement.
